On February 9, 2021, Tessa Cook, Assistant Professor of Radiology, Perelman School of Medicine, presented her talk, “Data Science in Radiology and Imaging Informatics,” at the Women in Data Science (WiDS) @ Penn Conference.
The clinical practice of radiology generates large quantities of data that are always stored but not often analyzed. In recent years, data science techniques have increasingly been applied to radiology, both for big data analytics, radiomics and radiogenomics, and artificial intelligence. In this talk, Dr. Cook discusses some of the current applications of data science in radiology and imaging informatics, as well as presents some hot topics and unsolved problems.
